High Speed Drives
Used extensively for compressors, generators, and blowers, the NEW N-Series
High Speed Drive combines state-of-the-art technology with experience to create
a single reduction, parallel shaft compact design gearbox with high efficiency,
low vibration and lower dB(A) noise levels.
The low cost of these units allows it to easily migrate to alternative applications.
Design conforms with most API (American Petroleum Institute) specifications.
Consult a Sumitomo sales engineer for more detailed applications assistance.
Mill Drives
Vertical Roller and Horizontal Mill Types
Seisa drives are one of the best for mill applications.
Over 300 Seisa Mill drives are in operation around the world. These drives are
custom designed and manufactured, based on proven design concepts. Simple construction
concepts and designs offer the highest reliability, which is critical for maximum
uptime in mill applications.
Vertical Types available are Bevel Planetary (BPN) and
Bevel-Helical-Planetary (BHP) and include Hydrodynamic (smaller size units),
antifriction (small to mid size) or Hydro-Static (larger size) bearings.
Horizontal Types are typically planetary type, helical
is also available.

®Compower Planetary Speed Reducers
Planetary gear reducers are ideal for down-and-dirty, shock load
applications which require a compact, concentric (or in-line) design with high
ratio capabilities.
13,000 to 6,640,000 lb-in output torque range
Available ratios 20 to 1768 : 1
Bevel-input configurations are available
Hedcon® Double Enveloping Worm Speed Reducer
Winner of the 1981 Award from the Society of Mechanical Engineers, this double
enveloping, single worm reducer has more worm teeth in contact than competing
product's straight worm shafts. This allows for more torque for an equally sized
unit (based on center distance) which translates into improved Service Factor
and overall better performance in the application.
Ratios 5 to 100:1 standard (higher ratios possible with a Sumitomo Cyclo input)
Low Backlash Series Available
Pinch Roll Drives available (sizes 63 through 250)
